We welcome you to come and discover the yoga within you! We are already creation, in all its entirety. We are most unsettled with this though and it is challenging for us to see our own power. Hatha Yoga , Ha = Sun Tha = Moon and yoga means to unite. These positive and negative currents are within our own nature. It is the rapid movement of our thoughts that move them into swinging as a pendulum from one thing to the other, from this to that in constant motion. In yoga we realise this natural tendency to move from one thought to the next and then to follow this with our actions in life. Through steady practise, utilising the teaching of the east, we regulate the various aspects of our existence that disturb peace of the mind. It is when the waves upon the ocean rest that we can see the beauty resting beneath them. Through the practice of correct physical movement of our body, the regulation of breath, the ongoing search for correct knowledge of self we master the skill to settle and rest in a balanced state. About our Yoga Classes Our classes are open to all people and to all levels of learning. We teach the full essence of hatha yoga in a gentle and nurturing manner. Am I fit enough to do it? The beauty of yoga is that anyone of any fitness level or age can do it. Even if you have an injury, pillows and props can be used to support what is happening in your body. What do I need to do to start? Bring a yoga mat and a towel or blanket to keep warm when resting at the end. Arrive 10 minutes early to lie down and settle before we start.
