UPGRADE YOUR MASSAGE QUALIFICATIONS

If you completed your Remedial Massage course prior to 2003 you may simply need to complete some of the following Home Study Courses to be eligible for Health Training Package (HLT02) qualifications of Certificate IV in Massage (HL40302) and/or Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT50302). Completion of co-requisites will also be required prior to the Certificate IV in Massage (HLT40302) or Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT50302) being issued. If further clarification is needed students are invited to write to the School providing details of their previous training and what they would like to achieve.

Students who commenced training prior to July 1999 and were issued an Industry Remedial Massage qualification need to complete:
HOME STUDY BRIDGING COURSE IN ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY (II) (Cert. IV requirement)
This course has been designed for those wanting to revise or increase their knowledge of A&P. This course will include the structure and function of systems that maintain the body, that control the body and the reproductive system. This course is offered as a bridging requirement in Anatomy & Physiology studies.

 

Students who commenced training prior to August 2002 need to complete:
HOME STUDY BRIDGING COURSE IN SAFE PRACTICES (Cert. IV requirement)
This training will help practitioners identify OH&S issues in the workplace.

BRIDGING COURSE IN BUSINESS STUDIES
(Cert. IV requirement)
The purpose of this course is to equip you as a practitioner with the knowlege and skills you will require to operate a successful practice. You will learn how to plan a business strategy to assist in the operation of a viable, efficient clinical practice.

 

Students who commenced training prior to January 2004 need to complete:
BRIDGING COURSE IN DEVELOPING PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE (Diploma requirement)
The course provides information on how to collect, research and critically evaluate data on the theory and practice of traditional, alternative and scientific medicine and how to implement findings to improve your existing practice.

 

Students who commenced training prior to January 2005 need to complete:
BRIDGING COURSE IN CLIENT CARE I & II (Cert. IV/Diploma requirement)
The aim of "Cleint Care" is to inform and direct Therapists in regard to working with clients in a professional environment and offering a high level of service to complement an effective treatment plan. Aspects include attention to detail which will in turn increase client safety, retention and satisfaction.
