Part II will provide you with the skills necessary to work remedially with massage. After developing your massage techniques in Part I you will be ready to learn more about the art of massage therapy. You will learn how to correctly assess the body's muscular structure and the appropriate massage techniques to assist and relieve discomfort. You will learn how to assess, treat and rehabilitate a wide range of injuries.
After you have successfully completed the Certificate IV in Massage (HLT40302) you will be able to join affiliated associations, ie. A.T.M.S., A.M.T. and the A.R.M., enabling your clients to receive health fund rebates with participating health funds. You will also be able to apply for professional indemnity insurance and gain professional support.
The Business Studies and Client Care components includes how and where to establish a practice, advertising, referrals, and much more to assist you explore your choices as a massage practitioner. On completion of this training you can choose either self employment or be employed by clinics, chiropractors, osteopaths, spas, physiotherapists, gymnasiums, sporting clubs, resorts, on cruises or in wholistic health centres.
As with many of our students you will be surprised at your achievements during your first year of training with us. The course will provide you with practitioner skills and also give you a great understanding of yourself and of others. You will find our classes professional and supported by a team of people interested and willing to help you learn.

| Award | To be eligible for Certificate IV in Massage (HLT40302) all Course Components (Part I & Part II) must be completed which incorporate the required units from the Health Training Package (HLT07) Statement of Attainments are available on successful completion of individual units. |
| Bring To Class | Massage table (if you have one) or thick blanket or yoga mat to lay on table, two towels, 1 sheet, 1 pillow, balm (provided to you at first class), soap, disinfectant wipes, writing equipment, cup. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. An S.I.B.T. T-Shirt will be provided to you at the first class to wear to all clinics. |

Study Duration Options - Certificate IV in Massage (HLT40302) - Part II
FULL TIME - classes held 3-4 days per week for 6-7 weeks, plus 1 seminar, exam and Clinic requirements. Full time courses are Centrelink approved.
PART TIME FAST TRACK - classes held 2 nights per week plus 1 seminar, exam and Clinic requirements.
PART TIME - classes held 1 night per week plus 1 seminar, exam and Clinic requirements.
DISTANCE EDUCATION PLUS 7 DAY INTENSIVE - plus Clinic requirements. During the Intensive the emphasis will be on practical components of the course. Distance study requirements include the completion of quizzes and assignments which need to be submitted, along with a theory exam taken 6 weeks after completion of the Intensive.
Our Distance Education courses are popular for those who live further a field or who wish to combine study and a holiday break, or simply complete the course over a shorter period of time. Lakefront student accommodation is available 3 minutes from the School and sleeps 8 comfortably - discounted student rates apply. Clinic requirements are also completed at the School at Charmhaven in blocks of 3 days or as preferred.
